Arizona Chickens

Wish we had a bird worth showing. Even if we did, they are so picked apart right now. Not sure what to do about it.

I was wondering if any of you AZ people might be interested in a Golden Cuckoo Marans rooster. I will have to get rid of 3 of the 4 I got. I am willing to make dinner out of them, but thought I might see if anyone was interested in buying a rooster. I wanted to be able to sell a mating pair, but only got 2 pullets, so I will be keeping them both.
I also have a salmon faverolle rooster who will probably need a new home or become dinner (although he is bound to be so beautiful!).
They are 4 weeks old now. No hurry, but thought I would check to see if anyone was in the market.

hatching them was fun, especially with the broody hen doing all the work, but I ended up with so many cockerels! Oh my!

Maybe one of them will be show quality for next year? My neighbors are going to hate me in about 3 months when I have 4 or 5 roosters crowing!

We ended up with a lot of cockerels last year, too. Maybe this year we'll get more pullets.

What did you do with them all?

I gave away the mixed roosters, and sold my extra RIR bantams. I did keep the better tempered one to breed with my hens this spring.

Oh, BTW My feed store is looking for any hatchlings for next week, he will buy them from you or trade for feed. Chickens "reasonably priced (he's been selling between 2.50 and 3) " Geese 8 or 9 dollars ducks 4 dollars or so. I wish I had some to trade, but I don't want to sell the 10 I just hatched out, and my next batch isn't hatching for 2 more weeks.
