Arizona Chickens

Texas started an interactive map on Google to represent all BYCers. They invited everyone to post your location. Let's get Arizona on the map...

Tried... Can't figure out how to spot my location. Will try later.

Tried again, I am trying to use IPad, do I need a laptop or a pc? I have been unable to get my computer going. It dose not recognize my modem/network. I gave up last month, was giving me a headache, really frustrating. I hate haveing to be dependent on others when it comes to computers. All the years I made my living using one, I learned nothing, turn the key and go. I paid to have a company to take care of it for me.

Try unplugging your modem for about 10 min. and have your computer off at the same time.

Good luck It worked for me.

My 20 wk old EE just squatted!

(I was a little worried she was a cockerel.)
I'm sure the other 3 20-wk olds (2 Ideal 236 and 1 more EE) are pullets but they aren't squatting yet.
We've been rationing the eggs form the older 7 hens the past few months but with the daylight changing and the 4 new pullets, I think I'm about to be flooded with eggs.

I'll have white, blue, brown and pinkish eggs. Next time I'll have to get some Marans to add a new "color" to the egg basket.

That's very tempting, I really want some, but I don't have room for the chickens I already have! I even have to modify the coop before the littles can live with the bigs. I'm also trying to add just a few at a time to rotate ages and amount of eggs laid. I plan on keeping them into old age so I have to be careful not to get too many now.
Maybe by next fall...

Got 5 Serama's Chicks hatched so far. Waiting to get better pictures to post. At the time eggs were hatching something else was being born! My Kate had two baby girls! Had a busy evening!

How beautiful. I am amazed how simple you make it seem to have
goats and chickens. I would love to but it seems daunting to me.
I also currently live within HOA restrictions but retirement in a few
years might change that.
