Arizona Chickens

Good to be home after a full week of being gone! I think the forum has progressed by at least 20 pages so I've already resolved NOT to go back and read everything. I simply don't have the time. If I catch mono sometime soon, maybe I will go check it all out

Hope everyone had a tolerable week back at work after the long weekend!

Thanks for posting that Katherine! It's very cute.

I bookmarked it.

I had given up on my little garden after the landscapers put cement bags on top of it, destroying the drip line. I went today and I have GROWTH! Yeessss. This really cheered me up.
There are radishes and a long leafy herb but I don't know what herb since the seeds were churned about from the dog digging and the landscapers.

I uploaded a bunch of pictures here:

Yep it is hot, I set up the mister system for a while on the chickens. I think they really enjoyed it. Luckly they have a big apricot tree that shades there entire run, so that really helps them out a lot.

As for the family we went swimming.

I love summer time. I guess that is what happens when you are born and raised most of your life in this AZ heat.

Ok...I was at home but the person that you saw was my MIL...my daughter played fiddle with the Heritage Middle school...she just graduated 8th grade and really wanted to play with her teacher today...the oldest lady in the group was grandma, then MIL and guy with brown hair and beard was my husband.....you should have said hi.....I stayed home with my son who is nine, fiddle stuff is boring to him at this age and I hear my daughter play all the time

SOOO i am thinking about getting some eggs from egg bid. BUT i dont have an incubator and i dont really want to take the chance on these with a new bator. Anybody have any interested in helping incubate some eggs for me?? I can obviously pay you something for your electricity and stuff.

Or do you all think i am silly and i should just buy a new incubator and see what happens ? Its more of a special harder to get breed so i wanted to try with them but again was nervous i would have no hatch ....

Thoughts rants flames ??

Thanks

Hi. . . .I go up there, mainly for the music. . . .several musician friends were playing. . . .your daughter is beautiful and did a fine job! Her teacher, (Kent, I think his name is) had his hands full riding herd on the boys, before the performance. As always, it was a pleasure to spend a bit of time at Sharlot Hall. . . .maybe next time i come up, I will see if I can come out to meet you and your chooks. . . .I was dissapointed with the "poultry" exhibit. . . .only ducks, no chickens at all!
