Arizona Chickens

I am not sure who laid the big egg. It was a double tiller so my guess is one of my black sex link hens?? And as for the cream colored almost white egg I believe it is one of my buff hens. And the little tiny brown speckled egg had no yolk:lau

The tiny one... was it from a new pullet, or was it just one of those egg's that people are calling fart or fairy eggs?

My husband and I have been making a bunch of freezer-friendly meals so we can easily reheat and eat when the baby gets here. We went through almost 20 eggs in the last 2 days! I need to find the link to one of the recipes to share, it was these little egg soufflé things you make in a muffin tin. Has bacon, spinach, basil and tomatoes mixed in. They reheat in about a minute and make such a good breakfast or snack! And it's a good way to use extra eggs if you have a stock pile going.
Did anyone get rain today? We had thunderstorms roll through all day. It's been lovely. We went for a walk earlier, though I did more of a waddle

I hope the link works

So sorry for your loss. It’s so hard to lose a fur or even a feather baby.

Try corn meal to get rid of your ants. My mom swears by it. They take back to the nest and eat it but can’t digest it so the die. I keep forgetting to get some when at the store. This will not harm your chickens. Put some on the hole and cover it or the chickens will eat it before the ants can.

I had such a horrible day at work today. Came home and worked on my diamond craft and played with the chickens.

Almost baby time. I’m so excited for you. Just pray every night all goes smooth for you. It’s the most wonderful thing to experience.

You are going to be glad that you prepped those meals like that! Thank's for sharing the link for those muffins.

I didn't get any rain here, just some nice cool wind for awhile.

Thank's for the cornmeal tip. I guess I will use it next time.

Sorry to hear you had a bad day at work. Hopefully your chickens were able to help lift your spirits once you got home. That always works for me. Thank you for the corn meal tip, I can definitely try that! We've got some in the pantry right now.

Good thinking prepping for the baby, you're on top of things kiddo. How are you feeling?

I make those souffle' things quite a bit, love them! I use a recipe from skinnytaste for the egg mixture but I put lots of different stuff in them. They freeze well too!

This afternoon we had some small hail and a storm that stalled right over us. Lots of thunder and lightning. I love it.
