Arizona Chickens

The new chick dried off and I moved it down into the brooder today. It has a fully feathered neck, and it like a silvery/light blue with darker grey chipmunk stripes down it's back. It's the first chick that has hatched out with this color and pattern, so I have to see how it feathers and grows out.
Sounds like some kind of blue partridge! Very cool.

@BlueBaby - first time with internet in the last couple days. AND unless I go with satellite I have NO other choice. dang........
You don't have cable available where you are,,,,, or is the service bad???
Another option is DSL thru phone company. Slower than cable,,,, but still good enough to surf.

I was wondering why you got so quiet lately. I have satellite dish that my internet runs off of. I'm glad that you are doing ok. I start feeding the animals next-door tomorrow. I seen both of those 2 youngster chickens that I gave them over a week ago for the Christmas gift today, and they seemed to have settled in well over there.

I don't know what it is, but it sure is interesting. I'll have to see how it grows out. I was only hatching the biggest darker tan egg's for that go around. Today I just stuck 5 of the eggs from my CCLB/Australorp hen's with Charley over them in the incubator. They should hatch on Jan. 8th.

No, no cable out here. We have satellite dish for tv, and our home phone, and internet is with them. Some out here gave up the dish tv for that wiify, and the home phone's for just having the smart phone's.

:hitThinking that we've lost number 3 out of the most recent hatch, set 5 to hatch, 2 were not fertile and so far only two have hatched. How do you know how long to wait before checking them? how do you check? They were suppose to start hatching yesterday, he's got a little under 1/2 open.

Help it out? It can take a while.
