It's a lot of work for a chick to work it's way out of an egg. They take breaks to rest before continuing. Not all will hatch on the same day, and a batch can take up to 3 day's for all of them to hatch, just like under a mother hen.

My first hatch spread it's self out over three days, 6 eggs, two hatched each day, on this group two of the eggs hatched about 12 hours apart, this little guy started zipping and now it's been over 12 hours since's I have really seen him doing any thing, I think about 6 I'll check him out and see what is up.

@cavemanrich No cable only satellite. Just poor service right now. Also they had a double wammy where a company dug up two of their 72 fiber cables. So the splicing was going on all day yesterday and the day before. BUT the service is iffy at other times. I counted two minutes to just get on my banking page!! Usually it just pops up. I don't know how the companies like Direct TV work for internet but will check it out.
@DesertChic - looks like I need to educate myself a bit about MiFi.

Most of those eggs that I put in the incubator yesterday were Hazel's 2 sisters.
