Ok, first, although I am darn envious of your 6 eggs a day...Congrats!

RE the color changing eggs...well I am interested too. Did your feed change? I have one ameraucana (ok, probably EE) and her eggs do change color depending on the season and what amendments she has been eating. If she has had red cabbage or weedy amaranth leaves, they are blue. When green supplies are low, limited to alfalfa and occasional collard or mustard stem trimmings (just the ends) they are green. It makes sense to me that this would change egg color, but does anyone else find this?

Wow.. that's more drastic than green to blue... alright well I guess they're both EEs then! Crazy. I found this other pic on my phone that shows a better blue but I sold this one today. Glad I had taken a better pic.

So sweet!

Guess which ones didn't figure out that you can stay dry by going inside the coop?

Soggy hens, I love it!

Why I'm starting to worry that at least one of the 2 olive eggers I kept of NoSkivees' is a roo... that is definitely a curly tail feather... at less than 3 months old...

Also, since I'm pretty sure none of you are web stalkers, and I've met about half of you anyway, my real name is Brittney

Great Pictures. I like the footprints best also!

NOSkiveez- Congratulations on the truck! 2 cars will make life much simplier.

Hi,
I'm Michele, I joined yesterday and figured I should give a shout on the Arizona page

I'm in Gilbert and I have my first 4 chickens, hopefully all hens (supposed to be!). Now I'm being so bad and thinking maybe 5 is a good number since I really would love a mille fleur bantam. If I got a mille fleur I might even be willing to give up one of the other girls ... is that terrible??? They are so dang sweet, I think my hubby would have a heart attack tho. If I had just thought of that when I was buying ... I was just thinking "eggs" and "friendly" when I was choosing ... but one super sweet pet that lays little eggs sometimes would be fine too. Hmmm, how to talk the hubby into that!
Oh, I have a blog/webiste too, it's twosunnydays.blogspot.com. I really need an acre!!!
Michele

I have a friend that puts a small amount of bazooka bubble gum in the hole for gophers. It seems to work for a while, but he has to stay on top of it.

AZBootsie - Very adorable!

Both of my dogs have to be monitored for the feed. They will inhale it if I let them. I have not seen them try to eat the poo yet, but I am sure that I am just not catching them at it.

Yeah NoSkiveez. I had to go with just a car for a while and thank goodness, I had a good friend that helped me get hay. I am at work now and can't get photobucket images, so I will have to check it out tonight.

Great pictures Brittany. I love your snuggly sex link. I am hoping mine continue to warm up. Ever since I moved them outside, they have been friendlier than when they were still in the brooder.

I will have to get pictures later, but I traded a guinea hen for a polish pair a couple days ago.
