Arizona Chickens

Hi,

I am in Peoria and planned to go to the feed store off Thunderbird, close to 67th. forget the name of it. My granddaughter wants to pick them out. Of course, with a little help. she is six an so excited.

Hi DM and
welcome-byc.gif
from Tucson!!

Have fun picking out your chicks. If you have a set number of chicks you are going to get, you need to be strong and stick with it, because they are so stinkin' cute. You will want them all.

We just set some eggs under our broody on Sunday and are counting the days.
We are also collecting eggs to put in our friend's incubator next week.

I originally just wanted to hatch my DS's showbirds for 4-H, however, I could always use a few more laying hens.

Roosters will have to go though. My neighbors already have to put up with 6, I don't think they would appreciate any more.

Good luck and we look forward to your posts.

HAHAH!!!! No seriously how are we all gonna know??? whos who?

How about once every 30 minutes, you yell, "Any BYC-ers in da house???" And we'll all start "Bagawk-ing"
Maybe we need a secret code word.

Are you showing your birds? Maybe put a BYC sign on your cage and we'll just congregate there.

Just tossing out ideas.

I talked with the president of the club last night, and there are over 180 poultry and pigeons being shown. So, you will see a lot of good birds.

Someone usually has some for sale, so you may end up taking more birds home than you brought. But, that's the hazard of being addicted to chickens.

Have fun!!!

Or, if you just want to attend the show, call Muriel for directions and any questions you may have.

I won't be there as I already have plans for the weekend, but there are a lot of breeders who will be there and are willing to share their knowledge about their birds.
