Arizona Chickens

That is why everyone ran to buy up the toilet paper supplies. Their overstock from before must be running low. And those of us that buy things normally find no paper available.
We may have to resort to action below.

TP Options: I've been sorting suitable Junk mail for this purpose over the summer. Better than leaves I think. And DH says we have a whole filing cabinet full of TP (old bills & unecessary records).

The article indicates that the folks planning to stop their tires aren’t encouraging company drivers to pull off the road. While their efforts will likely impact the supply chain a bit it won’t shut it down. I applaud them for their efforts. The states are shutting down everything but still want their groceries and other junk.

A toilet seat bidet attachment helps cut WAY down on toilet paper use, too. The water cleans you off so you only end up using a small amount of tp to dry yourself. 👍

Green grapes. Dies back to the sun can come in during the winter, but gives shade in the summer. Plus they love the leaves as a treat as they die back.View attachment 2406533

I like this idea for sure. I could grow some on the west side of the run where the afternoon heat in the summer is the hottest. I like the idea of having shade on that side for them, plus something they can enjoy snacking on is a bonus.

Hi AZ. Hope you’re all well. Fantastic weather we have don’t you think? We had wind on Saturday and some rain last night but it wasn’t much, just a few puddles around this morning. I got my garlic, carrots and some lettuce planted yesterday. Still need some more soil to finish filling up a bed and then I have more greens to plant. Also planted some grass for the bunnies.
Sadly I am without a flock right now. I’ve decided not to have chickens for at least a year due to pigeons and disease. I had a neighbor who decided to feed them and they of course realized there was a constant source of food and water here. Not good, but building a run isn’t practical for my situation so we’re done with chickens for a while. I do have Indian Runner duck eggs in my incubator though, first batch is due to hatch around Thanksgiving. Stay safe and healthy all.
Where are you in the state?
