Arizona Chickens

We only give very little of our people food to him after we eat. He's trained to lay down while we are eating, and he will drool like crazy until it's his turn. We make sure that nothing that he shouldn't have is in it though, and he doesn't get any chocolate. He love's salad, carrot's, and dill pickles though.
Yes ours love carrots as well! That’s a well trained dog, we still have to shoo ours from the table or they’ll jump up on the side of the chair begging for a bite. How old and what breed is your dog?

Good morning everyone, it’s quite nice waking up to some rain after such a dry year!

It's been drippy here all morning. I can't believe it! We haven't had a morning like this in ages. :celebrate

Our dogs don't mind the rain. We put on their boots and raincoats and they'll walk forever. We just can't let them into the backyard because they love digging and come back covered in mud.

We had rain or sprinkles all day. I can see sun trying to peek through clouds but it’s not making it through. So glad we didn’t have downpours that just run off and do no good!
up in spring valley we've had drizzles mostly and .2 inch of rain. at my place (unfortunately still for sale), in black canyon, .8 inch of rain. At least I got a break from having to water the trees there!

That sounds adorable! Do you have any pictures of them to share? We’ve been considering getting our dogs boots for when we hike during the summer since the floor is so hot.

I need to go check the rain gauge and see what it says. We still have a light sprinkle so I’m waiting to see if it stops before I go out to check on the ducks. Those little stinkers grow so fast! They aren’t even two weeks old yet and I think they’ve already doubled their height.

Good afternoon AZ. I am happy to see garlic sprouting in the garden! I planted a couple of window boxes with grass seed for the bunnies too and all my herbs are doing great! Hoping we actually get rain from this storm coming in. The clouds are piling up outside! Enjoy your afternoon all.
Gosh sounds lovely. Gardening is a blast.

I am moving out of state and need to rehome my 5 hens. I have 2 black stars, 2 red stars, and 1 white leghorn. I am located in central Phoenix, AZ. I also have a feeder and some other supplies. All FREE!

If you have not found homes, I might know of a family that will take them all in. Message me.
