I was driving the other day and thinking how it reminded me of driving in SW washington after Mt St Helens erupted (the smaller 5/25 eruption). But that was a little darker, and there was a lot of ash on the road. eerie though.Smoke like fog today in Chino Valley. First day I've actually smelled smoke from all the recent fires. I learned a new weather term this past week - Pyrocumulus clouds = clouds associated with fire or volcanic erruption.
It is already a little bit cooler, maybe the smoke is shading us?
