Yeah. My house went on the market this weekend so that means I need to fix the greenhouseAre you still in Arizona?
found one in the run a little windblown this morning, but they had the sense to stay inside mostly. Of course the wind was supposed to die down at 8 am. We still have 30 mile an hour gusts. Are your chicken's ok?
Are there any of them that can be moved to another place to be saved? The big issue is we are under a freeze warning tonight which means everything in the greenhouse will die tonight
a few, most of what is in there is in the groundAre there any of them that can be moved to another place to be saved?
Yep. It wasn't unexpected--the last three winters (since we bought this lot) have had snow beginning in October. Just never sure when. Only a little over an inch, and it's mostly melted away now. Part of the trade-off of living with cool summers and pine trees.Already?
I guess that's a lesson learned not to put stuff in the ground if you live where a freeze can kill it?a few, most of what is in there is in the ground
I don't know about where Wolfwalker lives, but up here, the 95% frost free extends well into November, but I have a freeze warning for tonight too, about 6 weeks earlier than statistically even reasonable. So much for the Extension's frost free time intervals huh?I guess that's a lesson learned not to put stuff in the ground if you live where a freeze can kill it?
What about putting some plastic sheeting or blanket's over them? Would that help to keep them from freezing and dieing?I don't know about where Wolfwalker lives, but up here, the 95% frost free extends well into November, but I have a freeze warning for tonight too, about 6 weeks earlier than statistically even reasonable.
