Arizona Chickens

I have some Cape Honeysuckle in the yard and it's one of the only things they don't eat - at least so far.

I also want to get a vine to go up the side of the run... I'm thinking about Cat's Claw because it's one of the only things I know of that will tolerate as much sun as it will get. Hope that's not poisonous... advice is welcome!

I haven't figured out how to rig it up, but I want to hang a trellis OVER the run and let something vine up that as well. Or I guess I could put a tree in there, but I'd have to get something at least 5 years old in order for it to offer shade asap.

I would love to add a roo but my neighbors are right up on top of me and I'm sure I wouldn't be making friends, can't wait to find a bigger place so we can add one and more hens too.

How about 1.77 acres with irrigation, 1890 sq. ft. house located 2 doors north of the Legacy Golf Course back gate?

On 32nd? My wife said she drove by a home over by The Farm but we haven't found the listing for it, could be out of the price range we've been looking at. Is it on MLS?

Hi everyone!

Wow what an adventure getting caught up! I had a running list in my head of who to say 'hi & welcome' to, who to give my condolences to, Happy Birthday, happy new chicks, etc etc and boy oh boy were there a lot more messages than I was expecting!

For some reason I wasn't getting the email notifiers for a while either, so I forgot to check for about a week

We have our chicks staying in the coop outside now (the garage is ours again!) and they seem to like it. This weekend we are fencing off a small run area and putting in more shade. ANd they quit eating the TerrAmigo which makes me happy!

Our largest chick (pullet, I think) that we call Meaty is a complete crack up. She has taken to jumping up on my arm like a falcon.

The wyandotte (Sofa) is the calmest one- I think she wants to grow up and be a lap chicken!

And the 2 banty chicks are doing well, one of which has just gotta be a roo (Damian), and the other runty (ex-pasty butt) girl has turned into a complete butt-kicker (Aggro). Wow! She is kind of a terror...not sure if she'll calm down or not.
