Over 200 offices in the last 2 years.
My problems:
Folks lose their job... no dental insurance... cancelled appointments
Folks don't lose their job, just their benefits... cancelled appointments.
Companies downtown (where my office is) are finding cheaper rents in Scottsdale so they are moving. I'm now too far away for a midday appointment. They look for another dentist.
Some folks come in for their six months, but they put off treatment until "times get better" everyone is tightening their budgets.
Back in 2007 I was looking for a hygenist because I was just too busy, making lots of $$, my girls were getting bonus regularly, now since their hours have been cut they are cancelling internet and cable, cell phones etc..... now its horrid. I had a full day for tomorrow but half the day cancelled and I'm off on Friday so only 3.5 days this week for me.
I've never seen so many vacancies (AVAILABLE) commercial signs since I've lived in Phoenix. It's like 1000s of business have gone under and we were WAY over built. 1000s of homes all of the valley are vacant. The next round of foreclosures will begin around September and peak in February and then we start Great Depression II.
If the bottom of the gulf blows up as many are predicting, it will make 911 look like a cake walk. Try a 20 to 50 ft tsumani all around the gulf. No more New Orleans, no more Naples, no more Key West, no more Kingston or Cancun. AND there won't be a particle of life left in the waters of the gulf.
On a positive note, I'm still holding out hope for the broody.
