Bob's Henhouse :

NoSkiveez, 17 hatched so far. A couple of them are the size of peanuts! The poor little guys are gonna get trampled. I'll wait till tomorrow when they are all hatched out and take another pic.

Wow! That small?! I'm excited to see what they look like. If they Frizzle, you'll start seeing the wing tips turning upward in about 7-10 days. I can't wait to see pics!!!

if Tucson Tofu doesn't get back to me by tomorrow night, I'll have 6 W/BW Ameraucanas and 12 Marans available.
The new marans roo has only been with them a week so we'll see next hatch if he's doing his job. I've still got the old roo and I'm going to put him back in with the girls the 28th of November in anticipation of setting eggs on December 11th for "Mahonri's 2nd Annual New Years Day Hatch"

I'm hoping that perhaps I'll get chicks from both roos that way.

NoSkiveez I can't get any until I build my coop. I was thinking about getting some ready-to-lay size from Richardsons in Gilbert, as DH isn't looking forward to my getting chickens. I figure I've got until February to learn, plan, build and get him acquainted with the idea.

Yeppers! I have 5 white silkie chicks you can have out right. They are about 5-6 weeks old now. Adorable little balls of fluff. Let me know if you want them. Or anyone else for that matter. Just want them to have a good home.

Yup.. at least 3 W/BW pullets and of the 5 Marans I can tell at least one is a roo.

Gretchen.
TucsonTofu can't get the eggs this week. I'm available tomorrow afternoon (it turned into a half day at work for me)

I could probably meet you at The Feed Barn if you don't want to come all the way into central Phoenix.

They are indeed beautiful. Very sweet too. You could probably fashion a very affordable temp housing for them out of 2x4's and scrap wood to make a little roof and rabbit wire with stucco wire on the inside. Stucco wire is much cheaper and keep them in a dog crate at night. I have a few smaller pens behind my house that were really cheap. They ran $40 but could have been cheaper because hubby used 4x4 fence posts for them. it
