EEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!![]()
for those looking for welsummers. The new AWESOME store "SHOPPERS" is going to try to order some this week. They should let me know sometime today if they can get some. Just FYI I told them to order 50 because i know pastry and mikey d want more. They were beyond friendly. It is such a change because my local feed store is ran by jerks. This guy acted like we were long lost friends. It was really, really nice. I love giving my business to people that deserve it!!!
While you were there did you happen to see Watering Nipples? I was thinking of dropping in there tomorrow to take a look unless someone here has some extra they are trying to get rid of. Feed and water are my next projects for the hen house.
If anyone in the Tucson area needs wheat bran I have about 10 lbs that I won't be using.
The Control Tower is going to map out a new flight path if I come home with any more chicks. Memphis, Ideal is resending your App Spitz (for the third freak'n time!!!) with a bunch of packing peanuts. They should be here Friday (along with Shoppers'es order)![]()
(This aughta be good)![]()
Me: I know we have 7 chickens in the back yard, 11 in brooder #1 and 19 in brooder #2 - But look at how cute these Wellies are!![]()

You can all play fill in the blank!
It's been a while since we've posted about the AZ BYC Seed Box, but I thought it might bear repeating since we have so many new members. The idea of the seed box is to promote gardening and interactions amongst our AZ members (and our adopted NM members). I started the seed box from all of the extra duplicate seeds I had and packages that were near or relatively recently expired. That amounted to nearly a couple hundred packages of seeds. Constance added to it from her collection and it has traveled and grown from there (I have no idea how many there are inside now). You can take whatever you need from the seed box and add to it if you have something--or not. I'm especially interested in things that you've grown and that has done well in our arid climate. The only requirement in participating in the seed box is that you have to help get it to the next member. AZBootsie has it right now and if anyone else is interested speak up before it heads back down here to Tucson.
Quote: I'm completely sure I couldn't do that and I'm getting the willies because the picture keeps showing up!![]()
Also, thank you all for your condolences. They really do help.
I would LOVE to visit the seed box before it heads back south. I just built an 8' x 4' elevated planter. Plan to fill it up the last foot with soil tomorrow, then it's time to plant!
Also--It would be awesome if shoppers ordered some wellsummers--I'd definitely get a few "real" chickens to go with the silkies.
