Arizona Chickens

Mikey - Oh no!!!! I am so sorry. I agree, if you can swing, a trip to the vet might be worth it for peace of mind and to be prepared to treat any other occurrences. This really is rotten. You have had such crappy luck with these chicks. Hang in there.

Becky- So sorry about your cat. That is always a hard thing to do. Hugs to you, too.

Good evening folks.

I got the Oxine and Duraguard from Sonoran Silkies tonight. Tammy picked up the Gentamyacyn from an un-named donor.

Thanks so much for all of your support and prayers. This has been a tough batch. Tammy & I made the decision to euthanize two of the chicks. Blinky and the peanut from outside were skin & bones and not getting better. The peanut could not see out of either eye and was not able to eat or drink.

My friend said the only PETA approved way was to use carbon dioxide so I got a tank and regulator & a box and put them to sleep. I'm quite sad as I'm writing this but the poor things are not suffering anymore.

We are going to try to save the third chick with the new antibiotics and disinfectant. I'm going to clean out the coop and pen completely this weekend and disinfect everything.

Thanks again for all of your help and yes I'm in for a jug of Oxine and Duraguard please.

Sorry to hear that Mickey! I will be ordering the Oxine and Denagard later on today, probably early afternoon so if anyone wants to combine I guess PM me. I know several have mentioned it but I've lost track of who wants what. Some want one some want both and Memphis mentioned Valbazen. I'll try and figure it all out before I order when I make a pit stop back home.

Thoughts and positive energy being sent your way from our hearts Mikey

Oh NO....I am sorry to hear about Blinky and the peanut. Glad you found a human way to put them down. I will have to keep that on in mind, just in case anything like this happens to mine.
