By the way, this is the FIRST time my mother and I have had Quails. So I kind of jumped into it.

I'm looking for for advice/direction. I'm considering taking my daughter to the poultry show in Shawnee, OK in December, but I'm not sure what to expect or what to make sure we see and do. I really want a good learning experience for her. She's 9 y.o. and is wanting to show chickens. We've had a little flock for about a year and she's really wanting to show. Due to our crazy schedule, we missed all of the county fairs and such. Also, are there any shows in Arkansas coming up? I had rather stay in-state if possible. Thanks for any guidance you can give!

Wow. I guess I wasn't thinking. I was the one in the Black and Camo Jacket. And I think a red shirt. I don't remember what I wore. lol

I love the NNs. The grey/blue is my favorite. Her head feathers have a barred pattern.

If she is out of my blue/red Easter Egger (Ameraucana) hen like I thing she is then her daddy was the Barred Naked Neck that I had up there at the swap.

Shawnee is an excellent show to attend. If you want a really nice smaller show and in Arkansas, go to the HOTOPA (Heart of the Ozarks Poultry Association) show .
