Hi insider, welcome. I have a few baby silkies but I don`t make a habit of it. Julie, I should have sold that white silkie hen to that man, The buffalo gnats killed her and her roo and my frizzle last week, all I have left are the babies.

My silkie babies are black and gray. One of the black ones has curled toes if anyone wants to adopt a special need chicken. At this point, he his getting along fine.

Hey peeper I like your "most wanted pygmy goat" signature.

Just curious are you keeping it in the city limits, and is that why it is the most wanted? Just wondering how that's going? We live in the city limits north of the river and have wanted one but are hesitant (even though we have 1/3 of an acre backyard with an 8' privacy fence and cool neighbors). It is against code here. Just wondering if you have any words of wisdom or encouragement

I'm in s.e. Arkansas, between Warren and Fordyce. One of my "mutt" hens hatched out 6 eggs last wednesday, on friday morning (the day they should have hatched) she tossed the remaining 4 eggs out of the nest so I brought them in the house, placed them in a shoebox on papertowels with a little dish of water, covered the box with a heating pad set on low and on sunday I had a beautiful baby hatch out. I rigged up a candling doo dad and checked the other three eggs, no chicks. I kept "bitty" in the house with me until yesterday evening, I carried Bitty out along with a bowl of scrambled egg..distracted my Hen with the scrambled egg and slipped Bitty under her...she promptly went about to fussing over Bitty I've been out to the nursery coop about a dozen times so far today and Bitty is doing great, of course he/she is a little behind the siblings that are 4 days older but he/she is watching Mamma hen and joining in on the fun. I just read your sig line. I'd love to see a digital portrait. I'm a graphic designer myself, although right now I'm a stay at home mom. By the way, I'm incubating some Golden Cuckoo Marans right now. I don't plan on keeping them all, if quite a few hatch. You might want to check with me around the 21st if you want some.
