Arkansas folks speak up.........

Maybe a inch in Ozark. Not enough to keep me from work today.

Odd, I found out we have close to 6 when I went out and fed and watered. I'm at work also. The roads are in better shape than normal after a smaller amount.

Yeah, it has really skipped around. We drove (in it) from my parents in Cove and there was way more south than here in ozark. My folks got at least 6 inches, even Altus got 4. I just went home and anything in the sun is already gone, just snow in the shade. Wierd!

im 15 mins south of little rock and we got 7-8 inches in most places in my yard. the pens and fences got damaged pretty heavily by trees leaning over onto them or tops breaking out of pines and falling right on the fence. we lost power from about midnight or so and it came back on about 2 this afternoon.

hope everyone did ok

Here in Cabot we got about 8 inches. If I hadn't done a lot of bracing for the wind storm the other day, my run would have been flat! The chickens stayed in the coop most of the day. I put in a cabbage for them and scattered BOSS and chopped corn into the shavings to give them something to do and they seemed happy. We have no electricity, but my brother has a generator at his house (next door), so I took my mother over there before I went to work, with her oxygen and an electric blanket. Now he calls me and says she wanted to go back home...in the cold and the dark! She is going to be the death of me yet!!!

Lots of rain a a little snow dusting is all Monticello received. Electric blinked a few times, but stayed on. Parts of town did get a short blackout.

White Orpingtons and Easter Eggers are hatching out tonight. First one popped about 9PM. A little crowed with Jahdan (110 and I now sharing a bedroom with the Genesis incubator and a brooder tote.I bought the supplies to install an outlet on the farm meterbox. Now to get it done and get my brooder house working again. Thought about cheating. We have a Buff Wyandotte bantam hen broody. Has been sitting on a plastic egg for 3+ weeks. May just place her in a box with the chicks in the dark and see if she takes them. Would make the brooding easier.

Ran to get gas about 5PM and started talking to the fellow behind me. Seems he just bought the last generator at the Monticello Atwoods. He had driven from Little Rock. i asked why he did not go to the Loanoke Atwoods. He said they were sold out this morning. Made me think of 202roosterlane.

Hope all survive the arctic blast!
