Arkansas folks speak up.........

Thanks Jarhead we keep ours at my husbands parents cause like they live in town but they dont its confusing but their neighbor has a horse so I think I can have me a rooster lol and the rabbits well 2 of them I have no idea we bought off some lady that didnt even know if they was male or female and we bought all 7 siblings and ended up with 6 bucks and 1 doe....so only 1 of the bucks was in good enough shape to breed but they are gorgeous and the newest ones we bought off a guy that was getting out of the rabbit buissnes and we have 2 does and 3 bucks from them and they are new zealand/dwarf mix and they are some of the prettist rabbits I have seen they have the big eyes and nose and little ears of the dwarfs but the body of the new zealand I can post a pic if anyone wants to see
I also got me a full blooded rumpless aruacana well its pretty much full blooded but it may not be and have some ameracauna in it lol I just remembered that I will post pics of the girls and the 2 roosters and my bunnies soon also we should have 2 does expecting in the next 2 weeks and 1 expecting in the next 3 but it was our first attempt at breeding so they only mated like once or twice when we put the doe in the bucks cage so heres hoping it worked!ccc

Hey rbam I have a question. One of our mottled cochin chicks looks um.. smutty? It's kind of yellowish smudgy ish... but not quite. What color is it?

I hatched out a few mottled eggs earlier this spring, that came from a different breeder, in Ohio I think. Anyway, I had the same mix of colors as you. They were splash. Mottled look almost reverse splash, so maybe the lighter gene asserts itself in some chicks, and you get splash. I find it interesting that it happens in birds from different people/places. I will try to snap a couple of pics of the 2 splash girls (at least I think they are so far). I think they are great looking, some of my favorites.

Catherine - sounds like you can have a roo, and it sounds like you hit the rabbit lottery with those freebees

My broody pecks my hand every time I reach in her box.

I have a pair of young Millie Fleur d'Uccles for sale. I think they are going to feather in very nicely. They are about a month and a half old. I'm going to be going up to Mother in Law's in Greers Ferry sometime this week and could meet someone somewhere along the way. I don't know what to ask for them. How about $15.00 for both?

I would love this thanks! I have no idea what splash looks like, I think. Such cute little things. I'm so happy to have actually hatched a few eggs instead of killing them all!

Ooop! I didn't read all the way down. Thanks for the splash pics, very interesting!

edited because I was too tired to read to the bottom before posting....
