I have the brown , italian , and white Texas A&M all penned together and getting several eggs .

How much doyou want for them? I have a LG and I am going to pick up the quail egg insert for it later today so I am not sure how many eggs I need. You can PM me with the details. Thanks so much.

Barry white CD, and a bottle of red wine. That might do the trick. Candles might be a little dangerous with all the flammable material in there and all.

Up to 7 today. I'm sure of at least one BCM egg, possibly 2.

I am starting up another incubator at the end of this week...I hope. I guess I need to start collecting eggs. Anybody else hatching any out now or soon?

Hi there, I haven't posted in a while...yes - I hatched out last weekend and I have more in the bator now. Will be now (like I really stopped, LOL) till at least Aug/Sept. Depends on orders and weather.
Slightly hooked on hatching....

Hiya Hunt! I'm up to 8 maran eggs today. They sure are taking their sweet time about laying these eggs.

I'm hatching on the 6th and again on the 13th. This is my first hatch with a fan in the bator and I'm very pleased with how things are going. If all goes well, I should have 15 chicks on the first hatch and up to 8 on the second. Go fuzzbutts!

Chicky, must be the weather.

Well, it figures... My luck is great. I go off bragging about putting some of my eggs in the bator this weekend, and then get home today to find... wait for it... 1 egg in the hen house. I had 4 everyday for the last week, and then only 1, come on girls. I can't beleive you girls.

I got a LG still air yesterday!!!!! (hey Cindi, you got any eggs to sell in the next few days?

and guess what, today my little BSL pullet, Penny laid her first egg!!! I grabbed an egg out of the nest after dark, expecting a Leghorn egg and got a little pullet egg instead! I was so excited the chickens probably thought I was nuts!

I'm 99.9% sure that the birds ate an egg this morning in the coop. I found 2 partial shell ends by the coop door. I can only assume that it was laid outside the nest and got broken, so they ate it. I don't think anyone intentionally broke it for eating because when I came home after dark there were still 4 eggs to collect from the nests. None more got eaten. Of course they did this when I was trying to collect a few large eggs for hatching in my new bator!

Tala, it sounds like it was probably an accident but that sounds like something a rat might do. You might want to watch out for one.

I got a Genesis 1588 with turner from Cutler and am playing with it now, trying to figure out what happens to the humidity when I fill different water reservoirs. It has five different sized water reservoirs. I can't set eggs for another month due to a trip to visit the outlaws coming up. Pretty sure it would run out of water while I'm gone. That's part of the experimenting though. If I think the humidity will hold, well, the seven girls have laid 37 eggs in the last week and I've seen a bull's eye.

I agree with Ridgerunner, sounds like a rat, or some other predator. I have snakes in my area, but my dog and the roosters keep them at bay for the most part.
