Arkansas folks speak up.........

is this the one u got from me??? it looks like it... im glad she is doing good...

I gave this girl 7 OEGB crele eggs. After they hatched, I picked her up and the chicks started coming out. I was shocked when I saw a black chick. Crele on crele, don't make black. I picked up the chick and it is a cross between a crele Roo and this black Silkie. The chick has a head spot like a barred chick would have. Too funny. She sneaked one in on me. LOL

Yes!!! They have both raised a clutch of eggs. The white one is starting to lay again. I willing to bet, she go broody soon. I let them raise the chicks for 3 weeks than take them away. Thanks again for the birds.

I got them from an individual that was selling out. He had six chicks left and a friend picked up three for her and three for me. They are from a line of SQ birds.

Hey folks! Remember if you are passing through Monticello, Arkansas, don't forget to stop by Jenscott's place, the Mosquito Beach Emporium!

At the intersection of Hwy 425 and 278, the shop is behind Ray's Restaurant and across from KFC. Was looking through my photos on BYC and found these from their grand opening.

I am near Glenwood, SW of Hot Springs, & new to all things about chickens. I have wanted chickens for years & recently got hatching eggs, incubator & brooder kit for my birthday. I now have WAY too many eggs incubating (Wheaten Marans, Black Tailed Buff Marans, Silver Birchen Marans & Barred Holland).

I hope to keep 2 or 3 of each & let the rest go to others. Any advice & assistance will be greatly appreciated. They just went into he incubator so I have a couple of weeks to get something lined up. Any suggestions other than checking with the local feed store?
