Armed Forces parents, families and SUPPORTERS check in here!

Me...USAF 8 yrs and then Alaska Air National Guard 2 1/2 yrs. Married a career Air Force man.
Hubby retired after 20 yrs in the Air Force.
My dad was in the Army during the Korean war and my brother in VietNam. Both have passed.
My decision to enlist took my mom completely off guard but she was proud of me. She never thought I'd really do it.

I was 24 when I enlisted and if I had to do it over, I'd do the same thing. I loved every minute of it, got to do and see more that I ever thought I would, and have a great career today.

My family has a long history of service. My grandparents had some letters sent during the civil war and come to find out we had family members on both sides. My dad was in the air force in WWII, brother served in Vietnam, I served on submarines in the navy, my step son is in the 82nd airborne and in Afganistan now. He's only got a few weeks until he comes home.
