Very cute!

The chicks have grown so much over these weeks, this week I’ll post pictures of how much they’ve grown since! Starting with my Easter Eggers Rhonda and cilantro

this is how cilantro has grown, she’s tiny compared to the rest of them but is still growing feathers and seems active, so she worries me Im hoping she’s just a runt, maybe something happened when I trimmed her beak too far ( which was stupid thatI trimmed it even if it is really long:he ) Anyway she’s growing in some really pretty grey and white feathers, can’t wait until she’s all grown up she’ll be so beautiful

This I Rhonda, she is one of my most feathered chicks. She hates humans picking her up and taking her away from her family. She looks beautiful

You shouldn't ever trim a chicks beak even if people advise you to. A chickens beak is very sensitive an it is extremely painful for them to have their beak trimmed. They are very cute, though! Can I see the polish? How's the salmon favorolle?

Ya, I won’t ever do that again I still feel absolutely terrible about that and don’t know why I would ever think that was OK. It’s night here I will post more tomorrow, the Polish are getting there crests though and a whole lot of feathers! Sugar, the Salmon Faverolles is doing good I just gave her some egg yolk and she seemed just fine after, however I’m worried she is in fact a he.

I am glad to hear Sugar is feeling better

For today I’ll show you how much beau and Hei Hei my white crested black polish chicks have grown.

Beau has quite a lot of her feathers, her crest is coming in nicely, and she’s getting feathers in many different places besides that. She loves to fly out of the brooder and try to find where any tasty treats could be hiding.

Next is Hei Hei, she is also getting a ton of feathers, however her crest is still a bunch of pin feathers. whenever they drink they somehow get some water on their crests, those silly chicks! Overall HeiHei is a little shy but once she gets used to your presence she will quickly start to fly out of the brooder like her sister and into your arms and legs.
