They get a dish of meal worms every night in the barn, not sure if that helped. I lost some to predators once, and that scene stuck with me and was not something I wanted to experience again. So I knew I had to lock mine up at night. I wish I could be confident that they would stay safely on the water, but they mostly hang out at the shoreline or in our yard during the day.

Getting them inside protected is the best I am happy yours are so good at coming home!!
