Also a bonus question would be, if Christianity were true would you become a Christian?

This is a weird question. No disrespect intended it just is a weird one to think about. I mean, if there were solid evidence something were true of course I'd believe it. So I would be a Christian by definition. The details get really mucky of what that would look like because so many folks have different interpretations of scripture, there's so many different denominations etc. But yes I would be. The first question almost cancels the second question out because it's like well yes..

I feel like this is a long winded explanation to just say, no I don't have a good explanation and I'm not here in good faith. The "I CAN do this so I WILL" argument is so weak.. just because you can do something doesn't mean you should or it's a good thing to do. I think it's completely fair to ask you why you're here when this is a thread specifically FOR non religious folks to talk to eachother, maybe you are non religious but so far I'm not sure. Seems like from the little ive seen you may not be.

Well then wouldn't you be agnostic? I thought by definition atheists are saying they know there is no God. Agnostics say they do not know. That's the difference

That’s a great question, I actually looked this up awhile back when I was struggling to decide.... my conversion was a long, frustrating and difficult time for me. I ultimately decided on Atheism bc I identified more with that definition

Actually lots of people wouldn't be a Christian. Which is sad in my opinion be cause they're not being "Open minded" they just being empty minded and refusing Christianity most likely because of moral reasons

Everose, would you mind definiing "Christianity" for us? I'm honestly not sure what you mean by the word. Do you mean a church-going, Christian? Or someone who respects/ believes in Jesus? Or someone who has been so-called "saved"? Or baptized? Or ...?

I mean yeah I saw lots of folks explaining that they're irreligious when they came in?? I did for one. Also that's fine but if you're not irreligious then?? Your own time to waste I guess. Definitely don't have to explain yourself to me I don't really care honestly just pointing out the purpose of this thread since folks seem to keep forgetting

@Silviaschicks have you ever seen the matrix? The bad guy basically says "The only other thing on earth that spreads like a virus is humans. They fill on land and use up it's resources and then when that's all gone they move onto a new land." Kinda a glum realization! But for some reason I see truth in those words.

I've always thought that! That humans are invasive and not in check because we've eliminated all of our natural predators.
