Long time no see, and hopefully everyone had a good holiday!
My partner and I were gifted two diamond dove eggs and although we currently own one female diamond dove, we were going to try and incubate the eggs ourselves. We are setting up our incubator now. I've tried to look into what are appropriate temperatures and humidity but it seems like diamond doves are uncommon to hatch. (I couldn't find much on incubating them).
I saw one source saw 100 F (37 C) and 55-60 humidity. I'm not sure how long they're supposed to sit in the incubator but I'm seeing 13-15 days. We flashed the eggs and saw nothing inside so far. This is just a test to see whether or not we can really get them to hatch. Otherwise we were thinking of setting up a small cage for our female dove and seeing if she'd take on the responsibility of nesting. She's tried nesting in the water dish before.
If anyone has advice or tips on this, please let me know! I'm hoping we can get two healthy birds out of this, but if not, it's okay too.
