IDK where to post this, and this is the closest topic I can find, so here we go!

I just hatched some chicks, I want to attempt to try and sex them and see what % of them I guessed correctly. I’ve done feather sexing, sexlink sexing (for fun) vibe sexing, and Apperance sexing. Any more suggestions that won’t hurt the bird? (Vent sexing will be attempted once the birds are a couple weeks old, to prevent death)

I know alot of these won’t work but I think it may be fun to see how many we guess correct.
I will post separate pictures of the chicks on Monday. Enjoy the group shot though!

I haven't read anything here, so forgive me if I'm off base.

Only way to sex them accurately is yo wait untilbtheute 6-8 weeks old and look at combs/wattles. Period. All other methods are wine's tales.
I know, I just wanted to have some fun while waiting. Although feather sexing, vent sexing, and sexlink sexing are all accurate. All though vent sexing is the only one that works on all chicks, even then thats only what 90% accurate? Feather sexing requires a slow feather female, and a fast feathering male. And sexlinks are a whole rabbit hole in themselves.

I just wanted to play around with the wives tales that do not harm the chicks. Because why not? As long as it does not harm the chick in anyway. What harm is there. Wasted time probably, but other than that?

Well in that case, do all the things!
