LOL I have 8 (out of 14) silkie cockerels, and I will be letting at least 2 or 3 of them go, but I have to evaluate them. I know there is 2 or 3 that will not go. I have 6 Lavender girls in the bunch. I have one sold to someone here but part of the deal is I get first option at all his babies. None of the girls will be leaving at this time. I will have red babies in Spring as well as Laneders, so I will have both colors if you want to start a pink project, lol

Just thought somebody might know--Wayne

My final post tonight --Probaly --Has anybody seen any of these things-- I saw an article before that somebody was trying to develop these for ease of production ( no plucking etc). But I can't remember the details-- I got these pics from the web hope I don't get in trouble-- I just had to put these up for you all to see---Wayne

An eight-month-old featherless rooster weighing 3.3 kg flaps its wings on Wednesday at Hebrew University in Rehovot. Israeli scientists at the Agriculture Department of the university have genetically engineered bare-skinned chickens as part of a research project to develop succulent, low fat poultry that is environmentally friendly. The naked chicken, as the bird has been dubbed, would also save poultry farmers large amounts of money on ventilation to prevent their chickens from overheating. — Reuters----

An article I found about them-- at first I thought it was a fake pic but since this was a news article - I guess it's real.

Great Wayne. Thanks. I'm going to start having nightmares now

That's got to be the ugliest chicken I've ever seen. That one makes a necked neck or a Turken look like a beauty queen, LOL.
