11 silkies have hatched. Letting the last of them fluff up a bit more before moving them to the brooder with the rest.
 
Ooops, I am devastated, while candleing I dropped
the egg flat, more than half are toast. 😭 Luckliy I got 10 back in the incubator, before it happened.. So I just put another 16 in, they will be due on the 24th.
So sorry to hear that. Candling is exciting and nerve racking at the same time. Hope the new 16 all develop beautifully.
 
Never put eggs by the turner motor. If it’s off, you don’t need the turner in there.
It moves but only one direction slants them rightward first 2 hours then flat again next 2 hours. It's still going but it's not rotating my eggs

Just curious with quail eggs. Some feel lighter then others it day 6-7. The light egg is dark black almost half and clear other side. That's probably bad huh idk. I put beeswax on it cause it was cracked
