Day 20, woke up to one external pip that I can see!

Aww, I'm sorry the broody guineas failed again! Hopefully another keet hatches soon and they get along well.

Poor little keet is so sad!!! Just sitting on the stuffed animal, ignoring the mirror, and peep peep peeping for mom constantly!!! I feel just terrible for it - it was so happy following mama. I watched on the camera this am, mama’s did look in the nest, but happily left with the others, and is out foraging, not calling for a lost keet...

That would be killing me! I would be making keet diapers and keeping that baby in my pocket or something, lol! Do you have a chick close in age? I don't think it would matter if it's a chicken. They just like the company.

We have a baby!! It is now playing football with the other eggs. No external pips on them yet

That would be killing me! I would be making keet diapers and keeping that baby in my pocket or something, lol! Do you have a chick close in age? I don't think it would matter if it's a chicken. They just like the company.

No similar age chick. Closest keet is 3 weeks old. I think that when I get home from work, I’ll make a little pen within the keet brooder with the older keets. This new guy is just too little to go in there, but being next to the other keets would probably help him out and get them integrated. Then I could put them together when he’s a bit bigger and more agile...

4 chicks hatched on Saturday. 3 more due this coming Sunday.

No similar age chick. Closest keet is 3 weeks old. I think that when I get home from work, I’ll make a little pen within the keet brooder with the older keets. This new guy is just too little to go in there, but being next to the other keets would probably help him out and get them integrated. Then I could put them together when he’s a bit bigger and more agile...

That's a great idea! They will become more accustomed to each other that way and he won't be lonely!

LOL! Naked Necks! So funny cute to me! They always look like Donald Trump to me. I actually named a Naked Neck Trump when I hatched them for a friend. hehe

One lone little boy so far. One other external pip, on the wrong side of the egg. Nothing on the other 4 eggs yet but it's still early.
