August Hatch-A-Long

Lol, We just can't let go! Everyone here has been with me through this roller coaster broody experience! It feels like it will never end... I really hope the chick hatches and she accepts it. If it doesn't hatch I'll have to try harder to break her.
Best of luck with her!!!:fl When’s hatch date?

I don't know for sure, it's only one egg but it was under her broody hen. She had some chicks hatching this morning so any day now though I guesstimated day 17 when I placed the egg under her so it could be a couple more days.

The August thread is still Going! can't let go of summer? lol I don't blame you.

I am so ready for fall and winter, i love the cold, ugh, i would much rather be working in the cold, and have to shed a few layers of jackets and shirts, to "cool off" than be sweating like mad, and not really able to do anything about it except to stop working and head inside... so ready for the cold!:plbb

I'm with @john_wrightson2003 on that! I love the cool weather! Especially here in Georgia! Winter is very mild and summertime is stifling...I'm not entirely sure Georgia sees a fall or spring though! :lau

I spent 20 years in Western NY before moving back to North Carolina... I will admit I am just starting to get sick of the hot summers but for the first 10 years back I would be out working in 100+ heat and Humidity being thankful it wasn't snowing. I will never love winter weather again but at least its just a blink of an eye here. It's so nice to not own a snow shovel. even if it means twice a decade I have to clear my driveway with a spade or a flat head shovel
