August Hatch-A-Long!

One of my little Polish has no eyes! She was an assisted hatch because she was upside down.

Oh, that is so sad. :/

If I added half a cup of water, my chicks would have to learn to swim! That's the thing about hatching and raising chicks.... It's not a one-size-fits-all. I think that's where some people get frustrated. They follow what someone does that lives in a far different climate than they do, and they have horrible hatches. It's always best to find someone in a climate similar to yours and then tweak it

1/2 cup is only at each time I have to add to maintain my humidity. I used 1/2 a gallon during my last hatch. I keep a gallon jug of distiller water by the incubator, that's how I know how much I used in last hatch total

Wwe had a juice glass of water beside ours and only used half of that!

Candled my 7 shipped eggs... looks like only 3/7 are good

which means I may only get 1 hatch. It's day 8 so I'm still holding out hope.
