Aww...hope your baby makes it! so glad your little splayed leg is doing better! I had one chick I had to help with splayed legs and is actually how I ended up joining this forumMy next egg is hatching..this one had the biggest air cell and I was sure I saw a beak in it yesterday but come to find out it had pipped the bottom of the egg. It probably happened last night and my son and I were listening to it cheep but I didn't turn it over. He still has some veins to absorb today and should be out by tonight. These are strong little chicks! My babe with splayed legs is all better too.
I was near the dollar store today so I got some little plastic baskets that I am going to use to separate my eggs in the bator for hatching... They are labeled by rooster and I want to know who is who! I think I still have eggs from 6 different roosters cooking. Down to 15, I hope they all hatchHumidity is at 23%.![]()
I wonder (half kidding) if different areas have different kinds of humidity... like saturated or non-saturated... I must have saturated here, because just a little seems to go a long way!

I am in Southern Calif...dry as a bone and I have the hardest time keeping any humidity in my bators....especially at lockdown! Water evaporates so fast!!!!
