Wow she is gorgeous!

And thank y'all I am soo excited :ya

The humidity is staying around 60 now and it made one more little tiny dent to its hole so far but I'm better with being patient now  since I finally see some activity. It could take all the way to 24 hours to finally get out right? Haven't seen any more activity since 6:45 and its 9:30 now.

Little chirp is on his way. Yes I wrote names on my eggs.

Tonight I will not sleep

They often pip and then don't do anything for 12 hours or so.... then when they are ready... they will unzip!

thanks! I saved 12 from my first hatch, horrible hatching rate, but hey it was my first go. It was a little under 50% hatching. Lost 4 because my cat jumped on the incubater and shot the Temps up while I was at school, and killed the rest of the eggs.

I got up this morning and this is what I see. Day 21 isn't even until Saturday! No Barnevelder babies yet. But I still have hope!

YAY! Congrats!

Day 22 here, and my eggs are just now starting to peep and I can here lots of tapping. My digital thermometer must need to be calibrated, my last hatch was late too. Anyone know how to calibrate an indoor/outdoor thermometer/hygrometer? I've Googled and searched and can't find any info on how to do it

Try checking the temperature with a digital thermometer intended for taking your body temperature. They are by far the most accurately calibrated thermometers that you can buy.. and they are intended to cover the same range of temperatures that we use for incubation. Obviously it's not the most practical thing to be using all the time... but it will give you an idea of how much your other thermometer is off.

And, I just set 12 more eggs under another broody. I *might* have a bit of a hatching problem.

I hope y'all stick around this thread, because it looks like I'll be here for a while!
