They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

How goes your mon-star marans chicks @satay ?
Hey guys, hope your all having a great break.
Had my neighbour give me two more diamond doves early last week, So I had 4 hopefully they would breed. Yesterday morning went out and a butcher bird had killed one. They are such nasty animals those butcher birds.
Oh that's really sad, and the little doves are pretty defenseless . That white goss hawk has been hangin around here again. I came out yesterday and it was sitting on the coop salivating at my 13 slw chicks.
Our daughter has a week in Paris now. Two more official concert at Le flame ceremony at the Arc de Triomphe and then some sightseeing. After 17 years of being dragged to dawn services all over Aus I do believe that she will have a whole new perspective on why her dad insists that his family honors the fallen.
Lol, I told her before she left not to bring any Frenchmen or sailors home. She just laughed.
I have always insisted J go to the dawn service too. He doesn't mind so much now he is older but when younger it could be a task to get him out of bed.
It may take them a while but I think that most of them eventually get the significance of Anzac Day. I know from the correspondence from France that this has been a life changing experience for some of them. Casey has my camera and I know that she will do her best to capture that spirit. There are several 16 year old boys with them and she took a pic of one of them kneeling by the grave of a 16 year old boy killed in the battle at Ypres . The head stone read
" a soldier of the Great War - known only to god.
