Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

A very mixed flock of 30! French wheaton marans, australorps, araucanas, wyandottes, pekins, a frizzle, a plymouth rock, a welsummer, a brown leghorn and some mystery mixes.
The australorps are my favourite girls, they have beautiful big dark eyes. I am hoping to get some faverolles soon as well.

I also have 25 quail, 19 lizards, 4 snakes and 4 turtles. And 4 orphan wallabies I am raising.

It's a bit of a zoo here.

sounds like you have a lot to take care of! I'm really jealous of what you have (minus the 4 snakes, no offence) although I already have the 30 chooks of different breeds, so im half way there!!

That lot will certainly keep you busy! I'm just curious - what do you do with the lizards? Are they pets or for breeding?
Some are pets but we do have breeding pairs. We're hoping to breed our northern blue tongues and central beardies next season. Last season we only bred our eastern blue tongues.

I have a bit of a blue tongue problem (I have 11) as well as a chicken and quail problem....

Here's some random pictures!

My chook house.

Geoffrey my very handsome Marans rooster.

Sadie the Australorp.

Two of my redneck wallaby joeys, Bundy and Booka.

My beautiful Western Blue Tongue, Sebby.

The chook house was my dad's project. It is, by far, better built and more comfortable than what we live in.

Geoffrey is not from Game of Thrones but I do have a Cersei!

And yep I am in an organisation like WIRES - not WIRES, just the local wildlife rescue. It is the slow season for me, usually we have a whole pile of different wildlife, but at the moment I just have my joeys. Which is good because it means I have more time to sort out the chooks!
