Oh what a sweetie! I miss lorikeets. When we lived in Sydney and Brisbane they were always welcome visitors to my garden. None here in tassie .

The Lorikeets visit here every afternoon and you have to be very careful as they fly low and fast over/past you if you are in the garden. I swear one day one of them is going to misjudge it and fly into one of us!

I used to feed them every afternoon but sadly, I had to stop. As much as I loved having them in my garden, I ended up with more Turtle Doves than Lorikeets. The Turtle Doves were pinching too much food and in such large numbers they were scaring my girls :(

The neighbour out the back still feeds the Lorikeets every afternoon so I still get to enjoy them :)

There nothing like watching them screech and squeal as they roll and play in the wet gum leaves just after it's rained. Well this unusual weather pattern is playing havoc with the animals. I have a dead goat this morning . Bloat is something we normally have to check for in spring, but there has been fresh growth on the paddocks and it's unusually high in protein heading into winter. 2 partridge Silkie chicks hatched overnight, so I guess with every ending there is a beginning.

Tee hee FourteenChicks, it was pretty funny. I caught up with Ziggy's Dad later in the day and told him what happened; he had a good chuckle also. Ziggy is fine, no damage done apart from a slightly injured pride. PS. The goldfish do not appear to have gone into shock either. I like your Avatar :) I am a new mum to my first Frizzle who I adopted 3 weeks ago; Lulu (5 months) is the sweetest little girl and I am definitely now a Frizzle fan: Also, just wanted to share a picture of Blondie, my little girl from Cilla's second hatch (4 months); another little sweetheart. Sorry it is a bit blurry but I do not have a camera, just my phone and we all know it can sometimes be hard to get our gals to strike a pose:
I agree it would of been funny! I am imagining a cavalier cause that's my sisters dogs name:3 Thanks! This is my first frizzle and she is a bit feisty! Her name is Freckles and I plan to get some more! I love your chooks! I think Freckles may turn out like you frizzle!

Hi angeliduck. I've just contacted a friend in Marrickville who already has some chickens and Indian Runners. She's interested, but it has to pass the husband check first. I'll forward your details to her this weekend if she's a goer. Would mixing your drake and the Indian Runner drake (who is a bit nasty) be a problem or would they work it out?

I megacakes, just wondering who this person is who has the runnerducks, im guessing he/she is in Australia? cos I've been looking for someone to get fertile runnerduck eggs from, and was wondering about this person?
