I think we all support your efforts and I too have relatives with type 1 diabetes so I certainly think it is a great cause. We are only offering advice from a tax point of view. There is a few of us that are in this field and as Sam states unless you are linked to that organisation and are legally allowed to issue receipts on their behalf it can not be claimed as a tax deduction. As a buyer If the breed you had was one I was after and the birds of a quality I was looking for then i would happily pay whatever price and would be happy for you to donate whatever you like to the cause, I just could not claim that against my tax. My dad tells me I could sell rice to the Asians so this is just my 2 cents worth..... Maybe just advertise them as the amount per bird you want with a note saying you will be donating a certain percentage to and add the link... People still tend to support worthy causes. I know nothing about the blue rocks... Do they breed true?I make the following points:-Thank you to those who support my efforts, you may find my website helpful http://www.findtex.com.au/
- The only think I need to be careful about is that we do not double claim, I assume that if I give you a receipt for http://www.bakeridi.edu.au/ you will claim this on your tax so I need to deduct this amount when I sent my donation for tax purposes.
- I expected this conversation to be along these lines:-
- There a no Blue Plymouth Rocks in Oz
- What is a Blue Plymouth Rock
