Ollie. Good to have you on board!

Sam, I am sorry to hear about your father. I hope it is an easy path for you and your family. :hugs

Your chickens are looking good though. :)

Ash, a kilo of Oxymav would be good, because it is mixed at a very high rate, and the smaller packs don't last very long.

Lucas, hope your yoko is ok.

@satay
 - we got a heavy downpour on Saturday night. I think we got about 10mm out of it! :weee

Sorry to hear about your Yoko Lucas.  I hope he's on the mend very soon.
Condolences to you too Tippy Toes.  I also had a LS pass away unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago.  I suspect old age and her being overweight were the biggest contributors.

The Rhode Island Red quad I hatched are now 11 weeks old and went to their new home on Saturday.  They've gone to live with a friend's parents so I'll still get to see them.  I'm hoping the roo will make big, strapping babies for them to replenish their ageing flock.

The roo is still yet to crow; he may be a late bloomer :lol:

So I'm now to two Orpington girls and one PR bantam that I'm keeping.  I may decide down the track to sell one of the Orps, but for now, all three are staying put.

YAh .. We only got 3.5mm but i was happy with that.

The vet said the specimen would need to be sent to pathology for examination and an opinion to diagnose exactly what the liver disease was. He has kept the specimen in storage in case any of my remaining chickens show similar signs of lethargy and green/yellow diarrhoea.

So far, six days hence, we have well chickens which have produced two eggs yesterday (first ones) and one today. I'm sure of one hen laying which I found sitting on one warm and one cold egg but I'm not sure who laid the other one today.

Crossing fingers that the remaining three stay well and keep on laying.

Thanks for your interest.
