I like the idea but i wonder how it would go with mice and rats getting in there? Being bush we have so many rats/mice out here I fear with something like that they would get into it. Can you keep us updated how it goes?

ps, the waters are working well, that is why I built these, I also had to bet new chicken feeders and as I was given some offcuts of pipe Iwent this way.

It is a sad fact of life that if you have birds you will have mice, this is a constant battle. I have 2 cats and Tex is deadly  on mice. Will post an update latter.

Sam I have never weighed them. They are considerably smaller than my Sussex eggs , but in saying that my GLW are in their 4th year of laying their eggs match the Sussex,

I lost my 2 favourite little bantams last month, not much you can do for the elderly , just make them comfortable in their retirement .
