I lost my 2 favourite little bantams last month, not much you can do for the elderly , just make them comfortable in their retirement .

That's so true fancy. Unfortunately a lot of my roos are getting old now and quite a few of my hens too but I am glad to have had them as long as I have. Sorry for your loss too

Weighed an aussie egg Sam and it was 64gm

Wow that's her small end of the scale egg so that's good. Probably why she lays every second day !

I only have one aussie laying at moment so I'm not sure if that is average or not but not too bad a size. Your girl is doing really well.

She has been great. Still mothering the two she hatched I have (they are 28 weeks or more) she pushes the other out of their way ensuring they have first food and water ect.

Precious laid another tiny egg today !
