no, i tried incubating them myself but when i candled them at a week there was no development

on a brighter note my nephew gave me two silver laced wyandotts as a chrissie present

My wellies when they are old enough to lay are. They come from show winning parents. Me myself am far to lazy to go to all the effort required for showing birds.

Yeah it does seem like quite a lot of effort, I was planning on getting some show "quality" birds (what ever that means) and then breeding show birds to sell for more $$$ than you would usually get for birds, that way I figure you don't have to wash their little toes and scrub their combs but just sell the chick and say they come from a show quality line of birds.

Instead of making a thread every single time that I have a question can I ask you guys, even if it's not Australia related???
If so here's my first one- At what age can I stop putting rocks on the chicks drinking water???

I don't put rocks in the waters at all. I use small waters for them when they are little and then bigger ones when they get older.

Thanks a bunch satay, I have little waterers as well for my chicks, that's why I never understood why I had to have rocks. I love you wellies, growing up and taking shape nicely. How old are they now??? We know you Photoshop satay

Never thought of doing that lol. Should have turned to the right and took a pic so you could see the difference. If I think of it I'll take a picture down our driveway so you can see how brown it really is. Age of wellies not sure. I am hopeless with dates lol

ahha I would like to see the difference. I think I have a date twitch, I record everything with my hens- when I get them age, colour, breed- How many eggs I get per day, weight, day. How many eggs I sell and the total: just EVERYTHING.LOL.
