@City farm - that is a lovely collection of eggs!
Heaps of pages so welcome to all the new folks.
Sorry for your loss Sidhe13 and K Spot.
Loved the party pics Teila.
My late contribution to food uses for eggs is my recent discovery of breakfast pizza, eaten for supper. Use a pizza base, add the tomato sauce & cheese, decorate with bacon and crack a couple of eggs on top. 18 min max at 200. Easy peasy.
I managed to find a home for Toothless! He has been fairly quiet and mostly crows in the afternoon but seeing as I have a fight with the council on my hands over the development I thought it might be prudent to make more effort once again. Then yesterday my nosey neighbour barged into my home on the pretext of giving me info about the development and said I'll just have a look at how your chickens are doing & was out the patio door before I could blink.
I explained that I was trying to find him a home and she could see his collar, but she's as mean as a snake so I've been waiting all day for the council to tap on the door. Finding him a home (& not having to take him to the market) couldn't have come at a better time.

Farewell Toothless - you will be missed.

My four ara pullets are coming along nicely. Sprinkles has left her ugly days behind and the cream one in the background is practising sitting in the revamped nestboxes. They are 17 weeks old so it seems a bit early but I'm still excited just in case she is an early layer.
