So Fancy, long time, no speak. How are things on the other side of the planet? How did it go with the pipe that burst earlier, any nasty surprises or was it an easy fix?

Hi Felix, the sewer smell subsided once they plugged the pipe. They left a nice big fence around it. Hubby and I were just talking about it, if they have forgotten about it, it would make a very good holding pen.
The leaves are falling here, yet there is a forecast for snow to 1000 m. Love your snow pics.
What are your plans for Easter ?

Hmmm. Yeah i put the new girls in at night on the same roost (has 4 levels, put them on the bottom one) so they knew it was toasty in there! Lol. Oh ok good so what ur saying is theres still hope then? Haha. Thx @Kooka

Good for u @tandykins im a gym junkie now. Put on 50% of my bodyweight when had my first child, didnt lose much of it n put on another 20 with my 2nd. Became a gym junkie lol and in 7 months lost 19 kilos. Now I love strength training.

So I wish u the best of luck in your journey, great if the others in ur household can support u buy not eating junk around u i know everyone goes ahhh i need to lose weight no more carbs! But just remember u need complex carbs as much as u need protein! Just limit the bad carbs, dont rule them out.

No way i can stop myself from hot cross buns tho!!

Thanks Rodney - I've done this diet before. Last time I was on it I lost 45kg. I'm usually fine keeping it off unless I'm going through a very stressful period and put weight back on. Now I use it in shorter bursts to lose small amounts of weight and to reset my body's hunger signals if my eating/nutrition are getting out of control. It works a treat!

I have psoriatic arthritis and recently bloating and weight gain from a VERY poor diet have caused it to flare up badly. It's not necessarily the healthiest way to lose weight but it's a good way to get a lot of weight off of my joints quickly and with my BMI of 42 I'm not likely to waste away into nothing any time soon. At my weight, any weight loss is healthy weight loss as long as I'm not cutting bits off to achieve it. XD

A couple of locals have expressed concern over my "crazy fad diet" with a friend of mine who is a dietician and she told me (and them) that I know what I'm doing.

Spoilt bunnies. A friend of mine grows lettuce in the guttering clipped to the coop and along the fence. Looks great and the chooks can't reach it.

Oh, it's not for the bunnies, they can eat grass instead, it just seems like a good spot to grow lettuce. And I get to tinker with a self watering system, so it's fun to build. It's going to be a wicking system, similar to what I've got for my peppers at the moment.

Oh no I was referring to their lovely house. By peppers you mean capsicum ?

Yeah, chilis is what I really would say but most English speakers seem to use the term 'peppers' instead. But capsicum, yeah.

Chillis here are those little hot beggars. Capsicum are as big as an apple and the red ones are quite sweet. Don't worry here in Tassie things are different even to the rest of Aus.
On the mainland my favorite pumpkin is called a Jap, here it is Kent, because it's not PC to say Jap. Little do they know that it just stands for Just Another Pumpkin.
