Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

new acquisitions!!! curious about the araucanas white as feet though? im assuming hes crossed with something but ive never seen white feet on a chook before. pretty sure the only one of the 3 thats even close to purebred is the black hen. also, is there a name for the little buff bantam hens colour? shes gorgeous.
Nice. Looks like a buff columbian wyandotte . Or a partridge wyandotte .

Hubby has some sardines in his garage (not allowed in the house p-yew!). I'll steal them and try those tomorrow. The things I do for these chooks!

On a positive note though. She was spotted eating some crumble at bedtime! First time in weeks!

My guess are buff Columbian pekin Then Wyandottes for the next two The black one looks Belgian duccle or at least crossed with one hard to tell from the pic, The white one could be cross araucana and a rooster by looks of that but not pure. The reddish one maybe a barnevelder x

the black copper and white are all araucanas the white and copper are definitely crosses. Jurys out on the black she looks the closest to pure. Looking at the splash roos crest i imagine theres definitely some polish in his heritage Somewhere. And theres definitely something pretty and goldlaced in the coppers heritage. I want to breed easter eggers so not fussed on them not being pure. So long as they lay coloured eggs. I have some silver lavender pure araucanas in the incubator at the moment. 6 out of 14 eggs have made it to day 16 (shipped eggs waaahhhh) hoping to get at least a couple of pullets.

I've got some French wheaten marans in the bator as well. Fingers crossed I get at least two out of a dozen eggs

I am guessing you have been sold easter eggers then. A cross bred that will normally lay a camo green colour egg or any other colour but not the blue green of the araucana.

For comparison One of my Belgian D`Uccles. Similar in the face to yours but yours doesn't have feathered feet from what I can tell.
yes she does look similar. Some araucanas have the same muff/beard so im hoping she has more in her. The others i knew weren't purebred. Fingers crossed they are laying coloured
