Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

What on earth is a dog doing in a shopping Centre, sounds like a grocery store having a trolly too. Companion animals are one thing but that is too much!

Haha, exactly what I thought. It was Coles north rocks and it was when Paris Hilton made ' handbag pooches ' popular. The lady insisted that she always took her pooch shopping with her.

Went into woolies to get the chooks home brand sardines and they have gone up to 92 cents
That's an increase of 20cents so I bought them nome brand mackerel in oil. They loved it and it's only 85 cents for a 400 g tin. High in omega 3 and not only did the chooks ' run me down ' for it, but the dogs and cats followed me also. I've also started adding a tablespoon or two of no name minced garlic to the mix. Happy chooks, happy me . :)

she felt sorry for it because it got so stressed trying to get out.
I had two pigeons/doves in mine.... They tried to fly away, but the whole thing is meshed so they just flew into the mesh. Of course, being wild, they didn't trust me and my stupid dog ran in there and chased them (I'd opened the door for them to fly out). Eventually I caught them and let them out. One had a few scratches on the back of her neck, but they weren't actively bleeding, so I thought it better to let her go than try to do anything about it. It was stressful for them and stressful for me... :(

I need to put something over the gate, I think they can go in where it curves at the top edges. They can figure out to go in, but not how to go back out again. Another job.

Question When are my chicks ready for the coop? They are 4+weeks and are spending the days outside (it's been around 30 most days) then in the brooder at night (lows of around 20). They are not sleeping right under the light but are still not that far away from it. Any suggestions?

If they are ' feathered in ' and aren't being introduced to older birds, mine usuall go out 5-6 weeks permanent . With the weather being so mild, and so long as they have buddies they will be fine.

They only have feathers on their wings at the moment. Still only fluffy bodies. I might leave it a couple weeks and then put them out. I don't think I'm ready.

I've had trouble before locking multiple cluckies up together. They're so hormonal they beat each other up.

I trust your girls are more restrained. Good use for a trolly. I wish I had one.

My girls go basically comatose when their broody. They notice if you pick them up, but that's about it.

I would say about a week ago. I only keep bubbies inside for a full month if it's really cold.

Mine go into a trance too. I have to give them a little shake to get them to snap out of it. But when I put them in the cocky cage aka clucky breaker - they can't sit and they get cranky. Feathers fly when they snap out of the trance if there is two of them.
