So I'm down on that funny little island for the weekend. I've spent the last few hours perusing art at mona and I'm sitting down to a cuppa in the cafe where I've been joined by this handsome fellow, his mini me cockerel and a hen.

I have no real idea but Welsumers & Leghorns have yellow legs & single combs like that & come in those colours but honestly could be a mix...

Hi All, what do people use in aus to deal with mites/lice?

We’ve had an insane infection in south west wa and it’s murdered my flock. Any ideas?

Legs I'd use good old vaseline but anywhere else I dunno. I've not had to deal with that one.

OK, diatomaceous earth or Pestene powder. Coop will need to be cleaned & disinfected too. May need to repeat in 7days to get the freshly hatched eggs. There's other stuff on the market but I have no real idea how well any of this works. I do know prevention is better than cure. Suggestions I use are a little apple cider vinegar in their drinking water, hemp bedding & keeping the wild birds out of their feed & water.
