Just got news, 2 of my bantams went to a new home, the new owner just got home from work today and a bloody brown snake had got in and eaten one
Am so furious, not at her, but am gonna start concreting any snake hole I come across up at her place

Darn sandee that's not good. Unfortunately for all us chicken lovers and breeders our places can be like sizzler for snakes. I never hold it against a snake as they have to eat too. Terrible when something like that happens none the less but we learn then that we need to make sure we keep young ones in enclosures that are snake proof as best we can anyways,.
